  • 1 lb beef, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup pitted olives, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste        - Instructions:
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, vegetable shortening, melted butter, and warm water until a dough forms. Knead the dough for a few minutes until it becomes smooth. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, cook the beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned. Add the raisins, olives, potatoes, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the potatoes are tender. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball out into a thin circle. Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle and fold the edges to seal them. Pinch the edges together to create the desired shape.
